New Work
This is a detail, a smaller element, from “Grace”. My newest project is a large butterfly mobile for the show ‘Sculpting Color” at the Fuller Museum, opening August 16. I will post pictures of the completed mobile in a couple of weeks. The butterflies are abstract translucent prisms of color, and since this is a mobile everything floats and moves. I am very happy about this so far!
For details go to the Fuller Museum site. Thanks to Kathleen Dustin for curating this show!
Curves and color, translucency and shimmer, all very Bora Bora. My new work isn’t ready for sale yet, but I want to show them to you anyway. I am doing some metalsmithing – these brooches and rings are set in individually-made silver bezels with stones. For similar pieces not in silver, please go to the Brooches page!
The last two pieces represent my Pietra Dura techniques, which I taught in France last fall, and other places. See my Teaching page for info. The ring is a favorite of mine, polymer under quartz with marcasite inclusions, in a silver bezel.
